Radiant Heat
Hydronic heating provides clean, quiet heat that eliminates cold spots that may occur with forced air systems. Unlike forced air systems, the hydronic system:
- Warms people and objects rather than just air
- One can leave the door ajar with out worrying about losing heat or becoming cold.
- Radiant heating systems are 20 to 40% more energy efficient than other heating systems
- Radiant heating systems are an easy way to add heat to an existing room that may be cold or a new addition.
Radiant Heat Solutions
Ceramic Tile, Vinyl, Laminate Wood and Carpet
Radiant floor heating systems are the perfect solution for adding a warm and inviting atmosphere to any room with Ceramic Tile, Vinyl, Laminate Wood and Carpet. The radiant tubes are usually set in a gypcrete or mortar bed providing the thermal mass for the heat to transfer through. We also use a slab sensor to monitor the temperature of the floor to ensure the temperature does not exceed the manufactures specifications.
Hard Wood Floors
The application of hardwood floors installed over a radiant heated floor is approved by many hardwood manufactures and trade organizations. Use of narrow tongue and groove strips, 3 1/4” maximum. The narrower strips are more stable. Hardwood floor installers will test the moisture content of the subfloor and the wood finish floor prior to an installation. We circulate low water temperatures under installed wood floors. we also use slab sensors to monitor the temperature of the floor to ensure the temperature does not exceed the manufacture specifications.
